These terms govern your use of DetoxScore (the website, the quiz, the DetoxScale score, and the paid DetoxScore Report). By using the site you agree to them. Your use of DetoxScore is also governed by our privacy policy.
Age
DetoxScore is intended for users 18 and older. If you are under 18, do not use the site.
What DetoxScore is, and is not
DetoxScore is a behavioral exposure assessment. It scores household habits and product choices that are associated with exposure to microplastics and related chemicals, using a weighted model we call the DetoxScale.
It is not a medical device, a diagnostic test, or medical advice. Your score does not measure anything in your body and is not a statement about your health. Nothing on this site is a substitute for professional medical advice. If you have health concerns, talk to a qualified professional.
Your score and your report
- The quiz and your score are free.
- The DetoxScore Report is a one-time paid purchase: a personalized PDF built from your quiz answers, delivered by email, normally within 24 hours of purchase. Delivery times may vary if information is incomplete, payment fails, or there is a technical issue.
- Scores, projections, and "potential drop" figures are estimates produced by our model from your own answers. They describe how the model responds to behavior changes. Individual circumstances vary, and we make no guarantee of any particular outcome.
Payments and refunds
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout; the founding price applies to a limited number of initial orders and may change afterward.
- 7-day money-back guarantee: if your report is not useful to you, email us within 7 days of purchase and we will refund it in full. No questions asked.
- If your report does not arrive within 24 hours, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
Accounts
Accounts use passwordless email sign-in. You are responsible for the security of your email inbox. We may close accounts that abuse the service.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape, reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to extract the DetoxScale scoring model; do not use the site to harass anyone or to break the law. The DetoxScore name, the DetoxScale, the report design, and the site content are our intellectual property. Your quiz answers are yours; the score and report we generate from them are licensed to you for personal use. You may not reproduce, resell, publish, or distribute the paid report commercially without permission.
Affiliate links and product recommendations
Some product links may be affiliate links, which means DetoxScore may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no additional cost to you. Product recommendations are provided for informational purposes and are based on quiz answers, category relevance, availability, and other practical factors. DetoxScore does not guarantee that any product will reduce exposure, improve health, or lower your score.
No emergency or safety reliance
DetoxScore is not intended for emergency, safety-critical, medical, environmental compliance, or legal decision-making.
Third-party services
DetoxScore uses third-party services such as Stripe for payments, hosting providers, email delivery tools, and affiliate partners. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
Share cards
Share cards generated from your score are yours to post. Do not alter them to misrepresent what DetoxScore measured.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes to the service or these terms
We may update the product and these terms. If we make material changes to the terms, we will update the date above and note the change on the site. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept them.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
