Privacy policy
This policy explains what DetoxScore ("we," "us") collects, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to give you your score and deliver your report, we do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Quiz answers and scores. Your responses to the quiz and the resulting DetoxScore. If you are not signed in, your answers are processed in your browser and your score is kept only on your device. If you sign in and save your score, your answers and score history are stored with your account.
- Email address. If you create an account (we use passwordless email sign-in links) or purchase a report, we collect your email so we can sign you in and deliver what you bought.
- Order details. If you buy a report, we keep a record of the purchase (your email, the product, the amount, and delivery status). Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
- Feedback. If you use the rating card, we store your star rating, any comment you write, and the score you had at the time.
- Local storage. We use your browser's local storage for small conveniences, such as remembering your score between pages and remembering that you have already been asked to rate us. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party trackers.
How we use it
- To calculate and show your DetoxScore and your history over time.
- To generate and email your personalized report if you buy one.
- To sign you in and keep your account working.
- To improve the product, using aggregate patterns and the feedback you choose to send.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share your quiz answers with advertisers or data brokers.
Who processes data on our behalf
- Supabase — database and authentication (account, scores, orders, feedback).
- Railway — website hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing. Card details go directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts — font delivery (your browser requests font files from Google when the page loads).
- Google Analytics — site usage measurement. We configure it with advertising signals and ad personalization turned off. See Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Account data (email, saved scores, orders) is kept while your account exists. Feedback is kept as product feedback. You can ask us to delete your account and everything tied to it at any time.
Your choices
- You can take the quiz and see your score without creating an account.
- You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, by emailing support@detoxscore.com. We will respond within 30 days.
- You can clear your browser's local storage at any time to remove on-device data.
Sensitive information
DetoxScore is a household-behavior assessment, not a medical service. Please do not submit medical information, diagnoses, symptoms, lab results, or other sensitive health information through the quiz, feedback form, or support email.
Product recommendations and affiliate links
DetoxScore may recommend products or link to third-party merchants. Some links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no additional cost to you. If you click an affiliate link, the merchant or affiliate network may receive information needed to track the referral, such as the link clicked, time of click, and purchase attribution. We do not share your quiz answers with affiliate partners.
Analytics and logs
We use Google Analytics and basic server and error logs to run the site, prevent abuse, fix bugs, and understand general usage (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type). We configure Google Analytics with advertising signals and ad personalization turned off. We do not use advertising trackers or build advertising profiles.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee complete security, so please use DetoxScore only with information you are comfortable submitting.
Where data is processed
Your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
California privacy rights
California residents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by emailing support@detoxscore.com. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Age and children
DetoxScore is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Adults may answer household questions that involve children in the home, but children are not the users. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Not medical data, not medical advice
Your DetoxScore is a behavioral exposure assessment based on your answers about household habits. It is not a medical test, does not measure anything in your body, and is not medical advice.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. Meaningful changes will be noted on the site.
